The mansions of Westmount are made more stately by their position on the steep slope of Mount Royal mountain, which allows them stunning views of the city below and the river winding around it. Their haunting presence, and aloof grandeur, at times suggests the presence of spirits residing in the homes, incapable of relinquishing their ownership of these architectural gems to the next generation.
